Artists, Cultural Organizations Invited to Join Arts in Mind Initiative

Calling all Central New York cultural organizations and teaching artists: 

Partners for Arts Education (PAE) invites you to an orientation for the 2009-10 Arts In Mind school year. This session will include an overview of the Arts In Mind initiative with the Syracuse City Schools and requirements to become an Arts In Mind cultural partner.

Arts in Mind is working to bring learning through the arts to every Syracuse student by making it easier for schools to work with arts partners.

Over $25,000 in new funding for education partnerships was distributed in 2008-09 through the Arts In Mind engagement plans. The initiative will be expanding into more schools next year, and educators are eager to work with more cultural partners.

Attendance at this meeting is one requirement for inclusion in the artist roster for 2009-10. Registration in the online Arts in Mind education profile is another.
