Grants Available for Professional Development in Classroom Arts Integration
If you're a teacher, artist, or part of a cultural organization interested in integrating the arts into classroom curriculum, there is grant money available to help you get professional development that will improve your planning, curriculum design, partnership capacity, assessment and more.
Partners for Arts Education (PAE) awards Technical Assistance Program (TAP) grants up to $3,000 to support the exchange of professional expertise among New York State schools, cultural organizations, teaching artists and consultants that is centered on teaching and learning in and through the arts to benefit pre-K through 12th grade students.
TAP grants can help pay for attendance at conferences or workshops, consultants and other professional development opportunities. Individuals, schools, school districts, and non-profit cultural organizations in New York State are eligible to apply. PAE can even help you find the right consultant or training to meet your needs.
There are two upcoming application deadlines for funds to be used for summer training, May 18 and July 1. You can find out more about the grants and apply at PAE's website, www.arts4ed.org.
PAE administers TAP Grants for the Arts in Education Program of the New York State Council on the Arts.
