Partners for Arts Education Receives Support from Senator Valesky
Partners for Arts Education (PAE) is honored to receive support for technology upgrades from New York State Senator David Valesky. He has helped secure $5000 to help meet the increased demand for PAE’s services to all schools in Central New York as well as New York State.
The funds will be used to support upgraded web access for PAE’s constituents, including educators, cultural organizations, and teaching artists, who use PAE’s website (www.arts4ed.org) to make connections to partners, stay informed about news and opportunities in the field, and to apply for grants for professional development and for partnerships between teachers and artists or cultural organizations.
Senator Valesky stated, “"The arts play a critical role in the education of our children, a role that is too often overlooked. That why I am so pleased to do what I can to help provide state support to Partners for Arts Education so that they can continue the great programs offered to the community."
Partners for Arts Education is a Syracuse-based not-for-profit that provides funding and support to deepen and enrich educational experiences in and through the arts for students, teachers and artists. Through the New York State Council on the Arts, it has administered grants totaling over $195,000 to schools in Central New York since 2001, and over $766,000 to schools statewide since 2002. It also hosts the state arts-in-education annual conference and provides professional support to the field.
