New Board
Members Join Partners for Arts Education
(Syracuse) Partners for Arts Education
is please to welcome two new members
to its Board of Directors: Arthur Brown
and Dolores Sarno.

of our board both artistically
and geographically with Ms. Sarno
and Mr. Brown. As PAE grows into
its role as a major force in arts
in education in New York State,
the expertise, diversity, and dedication
of our board members are an enormous
asset to us and to the whole field.”
Arthur Brown
is a Theatre Teaching Artist for
Young Audiences of Rochester. He
currently owns and operates a theatre-based
training company, Teaching & Training
by Design, a consulting company
that focuses on organizational systems
and leadership development through
experiential learning. Mr. Brown
has worked in theatre and film for
the last 20 years. He narrated the
documentary Harlem
Renaissance: Images of a People,
which was nominated for a National
Black Journalist Award. One
of his most memorable works was
the PBS documentary Flight
to Freedom, hosted by Cicely
Tyson, which won a New York State
Emmy Award. He can currently be
seen in the recently released film Cherry
Crush.
Dolores (Dee) Sarno is
Executive Director Emeritus of the
Saratoga County Arts Council at The
Arts Center in Saratoga Springs,
NY. She campaigns vigorously at the
state level for government support
for the arts and has received several
awards for her dedication to the
arts, including the Rotary Education
Award. Ms. Sarno serves on the BOCES
Regional Arts in Education Council,
the Empire State Arts Commission,
and the Saratoga Performing Arts
Center Board of Directors. She has
a varied background working with
small businesses and not-for-profit
organizations developing grants and
marketing and public relation strategies.
