On Monday, September 17th at 6:30 to 8:30pm, the St. Lawrence County Arts Council will host a free orientation session to help teachers, artists, and school administrators learn how to apply for this year's round of art$TART arts-in-education grants. This program is administered for central and northern New York by Partners in Education.

All public and private pre-K – 12 schools in St. Lawrence, Jefferson, Lewis, Onondaga and Oswego counties are eligible to apply for matching funds up to $2500 for partnerships between schools and teaching artists or cultural organizations. Grants will help support projects with a focus on interdisciplinary or integrated study of the arts and non-arts subjects. This is a great opportunity to e nliven your curricula by collaborating with community artists!

Everyone is welcome to attend this free information session which  will be held at the SLC Arts Council headquarters, 51 Market Street in Potsdam, NY. Bring your questions about the application process, how to find a school or artistic partner, how to secure matching funds, or any other aspects of the grant process. We'll provide the refreshments.
