Grants Available for Artist-School Partnerships – Apply by October 30.

(Syracuse) Arts-in-education art$TART grants are available to fund projects in Central New York schools that use the arts to support school curricula by developing partnerships with community artists and/or cultural organizations.

In granted partnerships, teachers and artists work together to plan and teach toward New York State arts and non-arts standards. All pre-K – 12 public and private schools in nine CNY counties (Cayuga, Chenango, Cortland, Jefferson, Lewis, Madison, Onondaga, Oswego, and St. Lawrence) are eligible for the grants, which award up to $2500 in matching funds. Cultural organizations, artists, or schools can initiate the granting process.

The grant application is available online at www.arts4ed.org. You can also find information about the grant process, and outlines of all the previously granted partnerships.

The deadline for applications is October 30.
