Hotel Accommodations
Registrants are responsible for booking their own hotel accommodations. Conference events take place at the Crowne Plaza in downtown Albany. We have reserved a room block for the conference at the rate of $136/night, plus taxes. To reserve a room, call the Crowne Plaza at 518 462 6611 or toll-free at 800 227 6963 – mention that you are attending the CommonGround conference. The deadline for the Crowne Plaza's special rate for conference-goers is 3:00 pm on March 3, 2009.
If you would like to extend your stay in Albany, the Crowne Plaza will be pleased to extend the group rate 2 days prior to major check-in and 2 days following major check-out, based on availability.
If you are attending the conference as a representative of a tax-exempt organization, be sure to bring proof of your tax-exempt status for check-out.
There is parking available at the hotel for $8 a day. The Crowne Plaza also offers complimentary van transportation from the Albany airport or Amtrak Train Station.
Get directions to the hotel.
At the Conference
The conference begins on Wednesday morning for those who are required to attend state-level meetings. Regular workshop sessions begin on Wednesday afternoon and run through Friday lunchtime. There will be a welcome reception Wednesday evening and a dessert reception Thursday evening. We encourage you to explore Albany's offerings in the evenings.
