Laura
Reeder founded PAE in 2000. She
oversees services for educators,
artists, and cultural partners
from all 62 counties in New York.
As a recent appointee to the
National Arts Education Council
with Americans
for the Arts, a representative
voice for arts education in New
York State, and president of
the Arts & Culture
Leadership Alliance of CNY,
Laura facilitates policy and
practice reform at many levels.
As an arts education professional,
she has lectured and taught in
public/private schools and colleges
since 1987. Her current work
as Newsbreak Editor for Teaching
Artist Journal (Columbia
College Chicago), and as a Kauffman
Foundation Entrepreneurship Fellow (Syracuse
University) has focused on the
transfer of artistic skills in
non-artistic practices. Laura
has been a certified arts educator,
museum educator, and visual teaching
artist from Boston to Buffalo,
and lives in Syracuse. |

Maureen
Foster
Administrative Assistant

Maureen
Foster joined the PAE staff in
September 2007, and has quickly
become our in-house jack-of-all-trades.
A lifelong Syracusan, she received
her BFA in Fine Art from Cazenovia
College and works in fiber art,
painting, and sculpture. Her
recent shows include the 61st
annual ‘upcoming artist’ exhibit
at Munson
Williams Proctor Institute in
Utica, the 2008 Stone Canoe
Journal show at the Delavan
Gallery in Syracuse, and
Between
Worlds at Curious Matter
Gallery in Jersey City. |

Fran
Hradil
Director
of Strategic Development

Fran
Hradil strengthens the capacity
of arts-in-education partnerships
via fund-development programming,
including sponsorship, capital,
endowment, and planned giving
programs. She is also responsible
for securing grants from government
agencies, private foundations
and corporations. Fran is a graduate
of Leadership Greater Syracuse,
and was honored as one of Central
New York’s “40 Under
40” in 2006. She is an
active member of the Association
of Fundraising Professionals,
and Vice President on the Board
of Directors of the George & Rebecca
Barnes Foundation. |

Philippa
Read
Financial
Administrator |
Philippa
Read manages the financial records
and operations of PAE. Philippa
also works as an accountant for
Grandjean and Wagner, and has
been a public accountant since
1988. She graduated from LeMoyne
College. |

Stonecash
Grant Programs Director

Sue
Stonecash coordinates the local art$TART and
statewide Technical Assistance
Program (TAP)
grants. She prepares the applications,
assists and nurtures applicants,
coordinates panels, manages
the finances, and visits the
granted partnerships, encouraging
and facilitating community
artists coming into classrooms
to partner with teachers and
students to achieve academic
and artistic curriculum goals.
With a BS in Education from
Northwestern University, Sue
has a special interest in the
challenge that educators have
to bring their curricula alive
utilizing the arts. |

Kristin
Swift
Development
Associate

Kristin
Swift works on increasing visibility
and support for PAE's programs
in CNY and around the state,
organizing our appeals and fundraisers.
She's also the registrar and
bursar for CommonGround. Kristin
comes to PAE after years of volunteering
at numerous local organizations
that work with kids. Kristin holds
a BA from Syracuse University
in Sociology. |

Connie
Walters
CommunicationsManager

Connie
Walters' job is to make it
easy, pleasurable, and (especially)
productive for the arts-in-education
community to use Partners as
a resource. She maintains the
website, coordinates the statewide
newsletter, CNY postcard and
other mailings, and prepares
media releases. She has a BA
in Fine Arts and an MS in Music
Education from Syracuse University,
sits on the Board of Syracuse
Vocal Ensemble, and currently
performs with Adanfo African
Drum and Dance Ensemble and
SU Oratorio Society. |
