Grants for Arts in Education - art$TART
the
mini-grant that partners artists with
teachers to make a difference
in the educational & artistic
lives of students
art$TART
grants of up to $2500 are
for all public & private pre-K
thru 12 schools in Cayuga,
Chenango, Cortland, Jefferson, Lewis,
Madison, Onondaga, Oswego, and St.
Lawrence counties.
Applications for
the 2008 - 09 year were due Monday,
November 3rd.
Schools must provide matching
funds in
a combination of cash and
in-kind resources. Matches
can come from PTO, fundraisers,
district professional development
budgets, existing funded
programs such as 21st Century
grants or federal/social
programs. Call us for help

art$TART
offers help! Partners for Arts
Education has expertise and experience
in providing project
support, assessment models,
professional development, and models
of how to integrate NYS
Standards and the arts. Contact
us if you are looking for a teacher
or an artist to create the partnership
you or your school wants.
Orientation
sessions give
you the opportunity to
talk
to our grants administrator
about your project and
the application. PAE
will offer an art$TART
orientation on Wednesday,
June 10, 3:30
- 4:30 pm at Jowonio
School, 3049
E. Genesee St., Syracuse.
If you would like to see
what actually happens in
a partnership, this year's
art$TART grantees will
have the opportunity to
share their work after
the orientation, from 4:30
- 6:00.
