Teaching
Artists Talking
Karen Fitzgerald
Artist/Consultant,
Center for Arts Education |
Teaching artists uncover
language that makes visible the underlying
benefits to students of their arts-based
teaching.
Participants will begin by articulating
their core teaching values. They
will identify and map benefits that
accrue from these approaches. Based
on this mapping, TA’s will
identify the effects of arts-based
teaching and learning in order to
document them more carefully as well
as articulate common benefits across
artistic disciplines.
Wednesday 3:30-5:00
Conference Strand:
Curriculum and Assessment
Educators:

students experience through arts-based
learning.

how the benefits of arts-based learning
affect students.
