How long has Partners for Arts Education been offering this grant?
Partners for Arts Educationhas been administering the School Arts Partnership grant since the 2003-04 funding year. While our office is located in Central New York, we serve partnerships from all regions in New York State including New York City.

How does this grant relate to other AIE grants in New York State?
The School Arts Partnership grant guidelines are aligned with regional Local Capacity Building (LCB) regrants (up to $2500/3 artist contact sessions) and with Empire State Partnership grants (above $10,000/ 7+ artist contact sessions) from the New York State Council on the Arts.

How much was funded in the most recent cycle?
For 2007 - 08 PAE awarded approximately $136,000 to nineteen partnerships. There were 36 applications. The average award amount was $7160. Funded partnerships are listed on this site.

How does the panel process work?
Our panel reviews proposals with the intent to fund highest quality programs representing demo-graphic diversity in age/grade, region, artistic discipline, curriculum focus, socio-economics, cultural content, and funding history.

Who are your panelists?
Our panelists represent our constituent groups (teaching artists, cultural organizations, and teachers and school administrators), and are invited to serve three-year rotating terms based on recommendations from peers in NYSCA-funded partnerships.
