TAP
SERVICES
If you are looking for an
expert to assist you or your partnership
in a particular area to improve your
arts-in-ed practice but are unsure
how to find one, you can apply to the
TAP SERVICES program in which NYSCA
and PAE can jointly identify an appropriate
consultant/facilitator in a variety
of partnership areas.
TAP SERVICE: Strategic
Foundation Building Retreats for Arts-in-Education
Partnerships
You can apply for up to $2500 worth of specialized training with
a Strategic Foundation Building Retreat Facilitator by first checking
with PAE regarding your eligibility to apply and completing the TAP application
form.
If awarded, the grant will pay for the recommended facilitator fee
of $1500 (negotiable), which covers the planning,
preparation and facilitation of the one-day retreat and follow up. The remainder
of the award can contribute to other potential retreat expenses such as hospitality
costs (location
rental, food, etc), meeting materials and supplies, facilitator travel expenses
and other personnel compensation (teacher after school pay, substitute teacher
expense, teaching artist expenses, travel reimbursements for participants, etc).
Payment will be made to the applicant.
Retreat description: Strategic Foundation Building
Retreats (SFB) for Arts in Education Partnerships are day-long gatherings where,
under the guidance of a trained facilitator, partnership stakeholders retreat
from everyday pressures and spend a day focusing on crucial elements of effective
partnerships such as:
- collectively developing a long range vision;
- cultivating
a shared commitment;
- building a trusting relationship among partners; and,
- addressing “nuts and bolts” issues.
