Networking
NYS Roundtables
In Buffalo, Rochester, Syracuse,
Albany, NYCity, & Long Island
there are opportunities to meet face-to-face
with other teachers, artists, cultural
folks and explore shared issues in
arts education.
New
York State Local Capacity Building
Sites (LCB)
Funding for arts in education partnerships
is available for every county in
NYS as re-grants from the New York
State Council on the Arts. Most
of the LCB sites are connected to
a regional arts council or cultural
organization. (art$TART
is the LCB re-grant administered
by PAE for
Central New York.)
Regional
Learning and Leadership Networks (RLLN)
The Regional Learning and Leadership Networks are consortia of NYSCA-funded
ESP Partnerships. Through a variety of professional
development offerings, each RLLN develops a learning community and supports the
natural leadership role of ESP teams in their regions. State regions include:
Western, Central, Hudson Valley/Capitol, NYC-HS, NYC-MS, and NYC Elementary.

BOCES Arts-in-ed fosters support for
arts in education programming and
helps align programs with the Learning
Standards and other SED initiatives.
(Not every BOCES has its own arts-in-ed

CNY
Roundtable
The Roundtable is a professional
development service for CNY educators,
artists, cultural organizations,
and community members. It is our
mission to encourage partnerships
between schools and the cultural
resources in the community. These
are always free and no membership
is required to attend.
BOCES
Arts Advisory Council (BAAC)
Oswego BOCES Regional Arts in Education
Services provide co-ser 'memberships'
to establish arts education programming
for their entire district. The BAAC
convenes representatives from each
member district to disseminate information
to individual schools, teachers and
artists.
