Networking

table gallery group

Artists, teachers, community can connect with colleagues and see what's happening at the local, state, and national level by participating in any of these networks. Partners for Arts Education provides access to any of these organizations via this site and year-round program collaborations.

Statewide Networking

NYS Roundtables

In Buffalo, Rochester, Syracuse, Albany, NYCity, & Long Island there are opportunities to meet face-to-face with other teachers, artists, cultural folks and explore shared issues in arts education.

New York State Local Capacity Building Sites (LCB)
Funding for arts in education partnerships is available for every county in NYS as re-grants from the New York State Council on the Arts. Most of the LCB sites are connected to a regional arts council or cultural organization. (art$TART is the LCB re-grant administered by PAE for Central New York.)

Regional Learning and Leadership Networks (RLLN)
The Regional Learning and Leadership Networks are consortia of NYSCA-funded ESP Partnerships. Through a variety of professional development offerings, each RLLN develops a learning community and supports the natural leadership role of ESP teams in their regions. State regions include: Western, Central, Hudson Valley/Capitol, NYC-HS, NYC-MS, and NYC Elementary.

BOCES Arts in Education Coordinators
This is a list of the coordinators for arts-in-ed at the regional BOCES around the state with links to websites. BOCES Arts-in-ed fosters support for arts in education programming and helps align programs with the Learning Standards and other SED initiatives. (Not every BOCES has its own arts-in-ed coordinator.) You can also see an explanation of BOCES arts-in-ed services.

Regional Groupings
NYSCA Arts in Education groups New York's 62 counties into 10 regions.

Central New York Networking

CNY Roundtable
The Roundtable is a professional development service for CNY educators, artists, cultural organizations, and community members. It is our mission to encourage partnerships between schools and the cultural resources in the community. These are always free and no membership is required to attend.

BOCES Arts Advisory Council (BAAC)
Oswego BOCES Regional Arts in Education Services provide co-ser 'memberships' to establish arts education programming for their entire district. The BAAC convenes representatives from each member district to disseminate information to individual schools, teachers and artists.
