CNY
Roundtable
Thanks to Syracuse Stage
and Lauren
Unbekant for hosting
the first of the 2005-06 CNY Arts
Education Roundtable meetings. We had a spirited meeting with some goal setting
and planning for our future.
Quote of the day came from
one of the child extras for "The Sound
of Music" proclaiming proudly as she
passed the open door, "I have mine,
I have my headshots!"
Who says kids don't take to
the arts?!
We are in the sixth year
of the Roundtable and now have a membership
program! Benefits of membership include discounts for
selected PAE events and training opportunities,
the ability to cite membership in
your own promotional materials, and
a PAE tote bag. There are no membership fees, just a commitment
to attend at least two of the four
annual meetings. It couldn't be simpler. You can find a CNY AER membership
form at the website.
Please note: the next CNY Arts Ed Roundtable will meet on
Tuesday, January
17, 2006.
The program and
location are to be determined and
announced in a separate email. To register for the meeting, please email
Georgia
or
call her at 234.9911. There will
also be the first of the 2006 trainings
for teaching artists that evening
after the Roundtable. Even if you are not an art$TART recipient, you
can attend the training session
to learn more about how arts integration
works. For
more information, email
Sue,
or call her at 234. 9911.
Syracuse Stage Benefit Performance
There will be a performance
of the upcoming production of "Intimate
Apparel" at Syracuse Stage to benefit
PAE on Wednesday,
March 1st. We
are looking forward to sharing the
experience of this poignant play with
our friends, while raising funds for
the great projects that we support.
We will also be honoring our
art$TART recipients for the 2006 cycle
during a pre-performance reception.
Join us for the celebration, see the play, or both. We will be taking orders for tickets after the
New Year, so Happy Holidays and mark
the date for Syracuse Stage and "Intimate Apparel."
